With Hurricane Irma, all the devastation from Hurricane Harvey, wildfires out west. It is easy to put today on a back burner. But, lets try not to. So many innocent lives lost that fateful day. Our prayers are with the families for continued strength and healing at the loss of their loved ones, and with our Nation to keep us strong and never forget....
Never Forget!
ReplyDeleteNever Forgotten!
ReplyDeleteI will never forget my long time friend who died in the fall of the North Tower, nor my friends who worked for weeks on the pile and have since died from illnesses acquired on that pile. The people who sent those planes into the Towers, the Pentagon and who flew that plane that brave Americans forced into that field in PA...there is no hell bad enough, not for them or for their offspring unto 10 generations in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteNormally, I am a pretty flexible, easy going gal, don't hold a grudge, forgive quickly. But when it comes to 9/11, I find I have a totally different personality. We could have turned Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan into melted glass that would glow for the next 10,000 years and I would have applauded. There is no excuse for 9/11 except that of evil. Which needs to be cleaned out root and stock.
Some general once said something about turning a place into a dessert and calling it peace. Until we do that, we will continue to be picked away at by those that hate this country. As will our allies and friends.
I will never forget. I will teach my grandchildren to never forget. If I am blessed, I will teach my great-grandchildren to never forget.
It's been an interesting couple of weeks. I've had about the excitement I can handle for awhile.
